Thakral Corp gets green light for India real estate push, S$94 m TIL deal and share issue

Thakral Corporation Ltd (T04) said its shareholders have approved all three ordinary resolutions tabled at the extraordinary general meeting held on Apr, 30 2026.

The first resolution, backed by 99.98 % of the votes, authorises the group to expand its existing real estate business into India and to invest in, acquire or dispose of assets related to that venture.

The meeting also cleared the 93.90 million Singapore dollars purchase of an 81.64 % stake in TIL Investments Private Limited via wholly owned unit Paramount Investments Pte. Ltd.; 99.89 % of votes were in favour.

Finally, investors endorsed the issue and allotment of 24,217,108 new ordinary shares to Thakral Mauritius at 1.8128 Singapore dollars each, raising about 43.9 million Singapore dollars to part-fund the acquisition. The new shares represent roughly 15 % of Thakral’s existing share capital and will lift the Thakral family’s stake to between 56 % and 60 %. The resolution passed with 99.91 % support.

The second and third resolutions were inter-conditional and dependent on the approval of the first resolution. All three resolutions are now effective.
