Las Vegas Sands Corp. (LVS) shares tumbled 5.76% in after-hours trading on Wednesday following the release of its second-quarter 2026 financial results, which fell short of Wall Street expectations.
The casino operator reported adjusted earnings per share of $0.59, missing the analyst consensus estimate of $0.74 by 20.27%. Quarterly revenue came in at $3.154 billion, below the estimated $3.330 billion and representing a year-over-year decline. Net income for the quarter fell 28.13% to $373 million.
Management attributed the weaker-than-expected results to an unusually low hold in rolling play at its Macao properties, which negatively impacted reported figures. The company also noted it repurchased $787 million in stock during the quarter and maintained its quarterly dividend.
