China's Industrial Production Shows Steady Growth in First Half, Up 18.7% Year-on-Year, with New Drivers Accelerating Expansion

Data released by the National Bureau of Statistics on July 27 shows that in the first half of this year, China's industrial production maintained steady progress, with new growth drivers accelerating their development.
From January to June, industrial enterprises above the designated size nationwide achieved a total profit of 3,947.99 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 18.7%, which was 3.2 percentage points faster than the first quarter. Their operating revenue reached 69.26 trillion yuan, up 6.5% year-on-year, accelerating by 1.5 percentage points from the first quarter.
In June alone, the profit of industrial enterprises above the designated size grew by 15.1% year-on-year.
