Jun 12

On June 11, Eaton rose 3.58% in regular trading, trading at $387.34/share, with turnover of $489 million. The stock rebounded sharply after consecutive sessions of over 3% declines on June 5 and June 10.

Eaton announced it has signed a definitive agreement to spin off its Mobility Group and merge it with Dana Incorporated through a Reverse Morris Trust transaction. The combined entity is valued at over $10 billion, with Eaton's Mobility unit valued at approximately $5.1 billion. Eaton will receive a $1.1 billion cash distribution funded by newly issued debt from the Mobility unit, with proceeds to be used under its capital allocation framework including debt repayment. Eaton shareholders will hold at least 50.1% of the merged entity. The deal is expected to close in Q1 2027 and deliver $250 million in cost synergies within two years. Management stated the transaction will immediately enhance organic growth rate and operating margins upon completion.

Separately, BNP Paribas expressed optimism on AI liquid cooling infrastructure, identifying Eaton and Vertiv as top beneficiaries given their participation across multiple layers of the AI infrastructure stack, combining power management and advanced cooling solutions.
