Phillip Securities Pte Ltd announced on Aug, 12 2026 that it has established an unsponsored Singapore Depository Receipts programme to issue SDRs representing shares of companies listed on the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong.

The firm will seek quotation of the SDRs on Singapore Exchange Securities Trading Limited, relying on the Securities and Futures (Offers of Investments) (Exemption for Depository Receipts) Regulations 2023. Each SDR will be registered in the name of The Central Depository (Pte) Limited and will be denominated and traded in Singapore dollars.

Phillip Securities added that its Hong Kong affiliate, Phillip Securities (Hong Kong) Limited, will act as custodian of the underlying shares, while Chan & Goh LLP serves as legal adviser. The issuer cautioned investors to review the investment considerations and risk factors outlined in the programme documentation before trading the SDRs.
