On 11 August 2026, TATA Health International Holdings Limited confirmed that a former independent non-executive director, Mr Tao Chi Keung, has filed a winding-up petition with Hong Kong’s High Court. The petition seeks an order to liquidate the company over an outstanding director’s emolument claim of HK$0.14 million.
The petitioner served on the board from 20 October 2023 until his resignation on 13 June 2025, preceding the tenure of the current directors. TATA Health’s present board stated it is reviewing the former director’s performance and remuneration and believes the claim’s “not significant” size should allow an early resolution. Legal advice is being sought, and the company intends to “take all necessary actions” to protect its interests.
If the court ultimately orders liquidation, any disposal of company property or transfer of shares executed on or after the petition’s presentation date (11 August 2026) could be void under section 182 of the Companies (Winding Up and Miscellaneous Provisions) Ordinance, unless validated by the court. Hong Kong Securities Clearing Company Limited has indicated it may suspend certain CCASS services for TATA Health shares to mitigate related settlement risks.
A court hearing has been scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on 21 October 2026. TATA Health will issue further updates on material developments. Shareholders and prospective investors are urged to exercise caution when dealing in the company’s securities.
