Insilico Partners with SK Biopharmaceuticals in AI-Powered Neuroscience Drug Discovery Deal Valued Up to $2.5 Billion

In a significant development, Insilico (03696) has announced the formation of a research collaboration with SK Biopharmaceuticals (SK Biopharmaceuticals). The partnership is focused on discovering innovative, AI-driven drug candidates for neuroimmune diseases of the central nervous system.

Under this agreement, Insilico will leverage its proprietary Pharma.AI platform, which encompasses capabilities in target validation, generative chemistry, and molecular optimization. This will be combined with the company's preclinical drug discovery expertise to identify, design, and refine novel drug candidates for neuroimmune indications.

SK Biopharmaceuticals will contribute its deep research, development, and clinical capabilities in the neuroimmune disease field. The company will take the lead in all later-stage development and commercialization efforts for programs arising from the collaboration.

According to the terms of the deal, Insilico is eligible to receive upfront and near-term milestone payments totaling up to $18 million. The total potential value of the collaboration exceeds $2.5 billion. This sum includes payments tied to development, regulatory, and commercial milestones, as well as tiered royalties on net sales in the single-digit percentage range following product commercialization.
