NC Healthcare reports RMB45.90 million 2025 loss at Chengdu Women’s & Children’s Hospital; board weighs cost-cutting and viability

NC Healthcare announced that its non-wholly-owned subsidiary, Chengdu New Century Women’s and Children’s Hospital, recorded a RMB45.90 million loss for the year ended 31 December 2025. The unit, acquired in 2018, has yet to generate operating profit for the group.

Management cited a weaker macroeconomic environment, falling birth rates and intensified competition in Chengdu as the primary headwinds. Efforts to secure rental concessions from the hospital’s landlord have been unsuccessful, prompting the board to mandate further cost-mitigation measures and alternative solutions aimed at restoring profitability.

The board is assessing whether continued operations at the Chengdu facility remain feasible and will update shareholders in line with Hong Kong listing requirements. Investors are advised to exercise caution when dealing in NC Healthcare shares.
