Two Large Lithium Iron Phosphate Energy Storage Projects Land in Xilingol League, Inner Mongolia, with Total Investment of Approximately 3 Billion Yuan and 4GWh Capacity

The total investment for these projects is approximately 3 billion yuan, covering 420 mu of land, and they will be equipped with 800 sets of 5MWh energy storage cabinets fully self-developed by Star Charge, with full operation expected by the end of August.

According to Star Charge, two grid-forming energy storage power stations at the East Sunite Zuofu Substation in Xilingol League, Inner Mongolia, have recently been fully connected to the grid, with a total construction scale of 4GWh. This marks the successful deployment of the world's largest single-capacity grid-forming lithium iron phosphate independent energy storage power station in Inner Mongolia.

The project has a total investment of approximately 3 billion yuan, covering 420 mu of land, and will be equipped with 800 sets of 5MWh energy storage cabinets fully self-developed by Star Charge. Full operation is expected by the end of August, with an annual discharge capacity of about 1 billion kilowatt-hours, providing strong momentum for regional energy security and green transformation.

This project adopts grid-forming lithium iron phosphate technology, which differs from traditional grid-following energy storage. It has core capabilities such as active frequency regulation, voltage regulation, and island operation, allowing it to respond quickly during grid faults to ensure power supply reliability. As a key construction project in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region and the world's largest single-capacity grid-forming independent energy storage power station, the project focuses on operating large-capacity energy storage systems, using advanced grid-forming technology to actively support grid frequency and voltage stability, effectively solving the intermittency and volatility challenges of new energy generation, and serving as a "super stabilizer" for the new power system.

According to publicly available information, Star Charge was founded in 2014 and is a subsidiary of Wanbang Digital Energy Co., Ltd. It is a one-stop solution provider for charging and energy, with significant advantages in high-power charging technology, charging investment and operation, intelligent operation and maintenance platforms, and energy trading and management. In recent years, Star Charge has been deeply involved in the user-side energy storage track, building a complete technical system integrating photovoltaic, energy storage, charging networks, virtual power plants, and microgrids. It serves various scenarios such as factories, industrial parks, computing centers, and high-energy-consumption enterprises, offering integrated source-grid-load-storage-charging solutions.

In June of this year, at the International Energy Storage Exhibition in Munich, Star Charge successfully signed strategic energy storage cooperation agreements with energy companies from multiple countries and regions, including AGE Energy and VBG, with a total signed scale of nearly 3.5GWh.

Additionally, Star Charge has reached an energy storage order of nearly 1GWh with India's Prozeal Green Energy, providing 5MWh centralized energy storage systems to serve India's industrial, commercial, and renewable energy grid integration needs.

It is worth noting that on June 25, the "2026 Global Unicorn List" was released, ranking Star Charge at 494th place with a corporate valuation of 17 billion yuan.
