On August 24, rising water levels in the Yong River section of the Yu River, driven by upstream flows, led to flooding in low-lying areas of Nanning, Guangxi. In response, several traffic gates along the Yong River embankment have been closed as part of flood control measures.

The impact of Typhoon No. 19, named "Zitan," brought heavy to torrential rain across multiple regions in Guangxi, with some areas experiencing extreme downpours. Numerous rivers have exceeded their warning water levels as a result.

Aerial drone photos captured the submerged low-lying zones along the Yong River, showing the extent of the flooding. Additional images documented the real-time water level recorded on the morning of the event, as well as the "Yong" character monument at Minsheng Pier, which was partially submerged by the rising waters.

Several traffic gates along the embankment were shown sealed to prevent water from breaching the defenses. The photos, taken by Chen Guanyan, provide a comprehensive view of the flood situation and the ongoing flood control efforts in the city.
