Agricultural processing and food ingredients giant Archer-Daniels-Midland Company announced on Monday the appointment of Jeff Rowe as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, effective immediately.

Rowe will be responsible for the strategic management of the company's global operational system and will report directly to the Chief Executive Officer.

Jeff Rowe has over 25 years of career experience at ADM, having previously held several senior management positions including Chief Strategy Officer and President of Agricultural Services and Oilseeds.

He has played a significant role in driving the optimization of the company's global supply chain, digital transformation, and sustainability strategy.

The ADM CEO stated in a declaration that Rowe's deep industry knowledge and cross-functional management experience make him the ideal candidate to drive improvements in the company's operational efficiency.

In his role as Chief Operating Officer, Rowe will have comprehensive oversight of ADM's global production network, logistics and transportation, procurement, and supply chain management, covering core business segments such as corn processing, oilseed crushing, grain trading, and animal nutrition.

He will also be responsible for the modernization of the company's manufacturing systems, including advancing the application of artificial intelligence in supply chain forecasting and factory operations.

ADM is one of the world's largest agricultural product processing companies, with operations spanning over 200 countries and regions and annual revenue exceeding $85 billion.

The company has been actively pursuing business diversification in recent years, increasing investment in high-growth areas such as plant-based proteins, alternative food ingredients, and biofuels.

Rowe's appointment is seen as a key measure to ensure the effective integration of these new business areas with the existing operational framework.

Rowe stated that he is committed to optimizing the company's production footprint and logistics network to address external challenges such as climate change, geopolitical factors, and market demand volatility.

He particularly emphasized the central importance of supply chain resilience in ADM's long-term strategy.

The company plans to release its second-quarter financial results on July 28, at which time Rowe may participate in the analyst conference call in his new capacity for the first time.
