WeRide pares 0.47 million shares via Nasdaq buyback, lifting treasury stock to 23.02 million

WeRide Inc. (abbrev. “WeRide”) disclosed that it repurchased 0.47 million Class A WVR ordinary shares on 6 May 2026 through the Nasdaq Stock Market at prices ranging from USD 2.4867 to USD 2.50 per share. The volume-weighted average consideration stood at USD 2.4935, bringing total cash outlay to roughly USD 1.18 million.

Following the transaction, WeRide’s issued share capital (excluding treasury shares) decreased from 949.97 million to 949.49 million, representing a 0.0498% contraction. Treasury shares rose to 23.02 million, while total issued shares remained unchanged at 972.51 million.

The purchase was executed under the buyback mandate granted on 13 March 2026, which authorises repurchases of up to 102.73 million shares. Cumulative buybacks under this mandate have reached 23.02 million shares, equivalent to 2.24% of the share count at the mandate’s approval date.

In accordance with Hong Kong listing rules, WeRide is subject to a moratorium on new share issues or any sale of treasury shares until 5 June 2026.
