Five9's stock surged 9.30% in post-market trading following the release of its first-quarter 2026 financial results, which significantly exceeded analyst expectations across key metrics.

The intelligent CX platform reported quarterly revenue of $305.3 million, a 9% year-over-year increase that beat the consensus estimate. The company's adjusted earnings per share of $0.76 also surpassed the forecast, while a substantial swing to a GAAP net income of $18.4 million, compared to $0.6 million a year earlier, demonstrated improved profitability. A strong 13% growth in subscription revenue and a 107% subscription dollar-based retention rate further bolstered investor confidence.

Adding to the positive sentiment, Five9 announced a new $200 million share repurchase program, including a planned $90 million accelerated share repurchase. The company also provided full-year revenue guidance of $1.254 billion to $1.266 billion, reflecting management's confidence in the business trajectory despite acknowledging ongoing macroeconomic challenges.
