Malaysia Smelting Corporation Berhad announced on May, 22 2026 that first-quarter revenue rose 24 % year on year to 457.0 million Singapore dollars, supported by an average tin price of 193,100 dollars per metric tonne compared with 142,000 dollars a year earlier.
Net profit after tax climbed to 50.4 million Singapore dollars from 8.6 million Singapore dollars, while profit before tax increased to 66.1 million Singapore dollars from 26.7 million Singapore dollars.
By segment, the tin mining division delivered 55.2 million Singapore dollars profit before tax, more than doubling the previous year’s contribution, and the tin smelting division generated 15.5 million Singapore dollars.
Total borrowings stood at 459.6 million Singapore dollars at Mar, 31 2026, giving the group a gearing ratio of 0.54. Cash and cash equivalents were 194.6 million Singapore dollars.
The board recommended a final single-tier dividend of 4.0 sen per share for FY2025 and declared a special single-tier dividend of 4.0 sen per share for FY2026, both payable on Jun, 26 2026.
