China Aviation Oil Guangdong Company, in collaboration with Sinopec Jiangsu Petroleum Exploration Bureau Co., Ltd., successfully conducted a specialized training and certification program for oil and gas pipeline protection workers from July 20 to 25. This initiative, guided by the China Aviation Oil Group Corporation Human Resources Department, aimed to strengthen the foundation for safe pipeline operations, standardize job skill requirements, and build a highly skilled and professional team of pipeline protection personnel.

The program was divided into two sessions, with a total of 30 frontline employees participating. The training was strictly implemented from start to finish, ensuring quality improvement, effective assessment, and practical application of skills.

Focused on the core content of oil and gas pipeline protection, the training covered topics including pipeline safety protection laws and regulations, pipeline operation fundamentals, anti-corrosion coating inspection and maintenance, cathodic protection technology, pipeline hazard identification and risk assessment, equipment operation, and emergency response for sudden incidents. The training provided detailed explanations of standardized work processes, operational norms, and key risk control points, helping participants fill theoretical gaps, clarify operational misconceptions, and strengthen their safety mindset.

The practical training emphasized real-world capability enhancement. It adopted an on-site teaching model with hands-on guidance and point-to-point error correction, offering specialized exercises aligned with frontline work scenarios. Participants focused on core practical projects such as pipeline patrol inspection, pipeline positioning, depth measurement, anti-corrosion coating damage detection, protective equipment operation, and hazard identification and rectification. This approach allowed them to repeatedly practice and refine their skills, effectively translating theoretical knowledge into practical competency.

After each training session, the company strictly followed the vocational skill certification standards to conduct skill level assessments. The assessment included both theoretical written exams and practical tests, with rigorous invigilation, standardized scoring, and strict control of certification criteria. This comprehensive evaluation fully tested the training outcomes, ensuring that assessments promoted learning, practice, and quality improvement. All participants demonstrated a serious attitude, diligent preparation, and calm performance during the assessments, showcasing the solid professional foundation and safety culture of frontline pipeline protection personnel.

This joint training and certification initiative effectively unified the work standards and operational procedures for pipeline protection positions, further strengthening the company's safety skills training system. Looking ahead, China Aviation Oil Guangdong Company will continue to focus on safety production goals, regularly conduct vocational skills training and certification for various positions, and maintain high industry standards.
