SH ELECTRIC's stock price soared 5.29% during intraday trading on Monday, marking a significant rebound for the heavy electrical equipment manufacturer.
The surge appears driven by multiple catalysts in the controlled nuclear fusion sector. Shanghai has announced an accelerated push to become a global fusion energy hub, with plans to construct at least eight fusion devices. Furthermore, the ITER organization confirmed its superconducting magnet testing facility is now operational, achieving a key milestone with the first toroidal field coil successfully cooled to a superconducting state. Adding to the sector momentum, Shanghai-based fusion startup Dongsheng Fusion completed a new multi-hundred-million-yuan funding round for its experimental device construction.
Additionally, SH ELECTRIC was recently confirmed for inclusion in the CSI 300 and SSE 180 indices, which may improve liquidity expectations for the stock. The move represents a rebound after the stock experienced a sustained correction with cumulative declines exceeding 15% in late May.
