LG Electronics is launching a renewed push into the UK's high-end television market, showcasing its latest wireless wallpaper TV, the LG SIGNATURE OLED W (W6), at London's luxury department store Harrods. By leveraging this premier retail location, the company aims to directly engage with affluent local consumers.

According to a report from the South Korean media outlet "Seoul Economic Daily" on August 10, the LG SIGNATURE OLED W compresses core components such as the panel, power board, and speaker system into an ultra-thin profile, achieving a total thickness of approximately 0.9 centimeters. This is roughly the thickness of a standard pencil. When mounted flush against a wall, the device nearly blends into the surface, delivering a true "wallpaper TV" effect.

Wireless connectivity capabilities have also been upgraded. The LG SIGNATURE OLED W is the world's first television to receive the "True Wireless Lossless Vision" certification from TÜV Rheinland in Germany. It can wirelessly transmit 4K video at a 165Hz refresh rate in real-time, without compromising image quality or introducing transmission delays. The "Zero Connect Box," which handles connections to external devices like set-top boxes, is also 35% smaller than its predecessor. This design eliminates the need for the TV to be directly tethered to numerous peripheral cables, reducing installation space and simplifying living room layouts.

LG has also leveraged the latest AI technology to enhance picture quality. The third-generation OLED AI audio-visual processor, "Alpha 11 4K Gen3," boasts NPU performance that is 5.6 times higher than the previous generation, ensuring clear and stable images even during fast-moving scenes. Graphics processing performance has also improved by 70%, making visuals appear more natural and three-dimensional. Additionally, the LG SIGNATURE OLED W features ultra-low reflection display technology, which reduces screen glare to about half of previous levels even in brightly lit environments like shop windows, while maintaining vivid "Perfect Black" and "Perfect Color" performance for a more immersive viewing experience.
