Want Want China Holdings Limited disclosed that it repurchased 3.20 million ordinary shares on 20 August 2026 via on-market transactions on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. The shares were bought back within a price range of HK$3.245 to HK$3.32, at a volume-weighted average price of HK$3.2905, for a total consideration of HK$10.53 million.
The latest tranche represents 0.027 % of Want Want China’s 11.75 billion issued shares (excluding treasury shares) as at 19 August 2026. The shares are intended for cancellation and have not yet been removed from the share capital, leaving the company’s issued share count unchanged at the reporting date.
Including the most recent purchase, Want Want China has repurchased 61.62 million shares since the current buyback mandate was approved on 26 August 2025, utilising approximately 5.22 % of the 1.18 billion shares authorised for repurchase. Around 1.12 billion shares remain available under the mandate.
In line with Hong Kong listing regulations, the company is subject to a moratorium on issuing new shares or disposing of treasury shares until 19 September 2026.
