Douglas Dynamics Inc. (PLOW) shares surged 8.70% in the after-hours session on Monday, following the release of the company's first-quarter 2026 financial results.
The work truck equipment manufacturer reported record quarterly results, with net sales rising 20% year-over-year to $137.8 million, surpassing analyst estimates of $133.3 million. Adjusted earnings per share came in at $0.36, significantly beating the consensus estimate of $0.14.
The strong performance was driven by above-average snowfall in core Northeast and Midwest markets, which boosted demand for snow and ice products. Higher municipal volumes and a full quarter of sales from the recently acquired Venco Venturo business also contributed to the results. Following the robust quarter, the company raised its full-year 2026 outlook for net sales, adjusted EBITDA, and adjusted diluted EPS.
