CDL Hospitality Real Estate Investment Trust and CDL Hospitality Business Trust announced on Jun, 24 2026 that Singapore’s Inland Revenue Authority has ruled their 100 million Singapore dollars 4.00% subordinated perpetual securities qualify as “debt securities” under Section 43H(4) of the Income Tax Act 1947 and the Income Tax (Qualifying Debt Securities) Regulations.

The decision means distributions on the securities, issued on Feb, 20 2026 as Series 002 under the 1.5 billion Singapore dollars multicurrency debt issuance programme established on Nov, 5 2025, will be treated as interest on indebtedness. Investors are therefore expected to benefit from tax concessions and exemptions available for qualifying debt securities, subject to meeting the conditions of Sections 43H, 13(2) and 13(16) of the Act and the related regulations.

The trusts advised holders to seek independent tax advice regarding their specific circumstances.
