On August 17, in a financial industry update, Ping An Bank Co.,Ltd. held its 2026 interim results conference.

Board Secretary Zhou Qiang addressed dividend distribution, stating that the interim dividend will be distributed at a 20% ratio, with a total payout of 48.3 billion yuan. This represents an increase from last year's 45.8 billion yuan, sharing the fruits of operational growth with investors. However, he emphasized the need to balance this with business development requirements for the second half of this year and next year, reserving sufficient capital to support accelerated business momentum after returning to growth trajectory. This approach has preserved a certain capital safety cushion.

Zhou Qiang noted that the company will continue to operate within its means while striving to do its best. By aligning with actual operational conditions, it will balance the relationship between capital accumulation, business development, and shareholder returns. The company aims to maintain stability and continuity in both dividend payout levels and frequency.

Regarding capital replenishment, Zhou Qiang explained that the bank's capital adequacy ratio and tier 1 capital adequacy ratio declined in the second quarter, primarily due to seasonal factors. This was driven by the annual dividend's implementation during the second quarter, representing a one-time disturbance. Overall, the capital adequacy ratio remains at a relatively stable level. With current profit growth, the bank's internal capital generation capacity can support normal business operations. Therefore, at this stage, the bank will primarily rely on internal capital accumulation and has not yet arranged external capital replenishment plans. Moving forward, it will continue to be guided by capital replenishment, rationally arranging asset allocation to ensure the core capital adequacy ratio consistently meets regulatory requirements and medium- to long-term management objectives, providing a solid foundation for high-quality development.
