On May 16, the "Capital Cyber Police" public account reported on three recent cases of staged online content and fabrication investigated by Beijing police. Among them, Liu (male, 26) and Jiang (female, 24) staged a false scenario of "a blind person being hit by an electric bicycle on a sidewalk and scolded by the rider" beside a road in Chaoyang District. The content was created to attract followers, gain attention, and seek personal profit, and was published on a short video platform, misleading a large number of netizens and sparking widespread discussion, resulting in negative social impact. Both individuals have been subjected to criminal coercive measures by public security authorities in accordance with the law.

On the same day, Mr. Zhang, a visually impaired individual, disclosed to a reporter that some within his community had received recruitment notices from Shaanxi Nianlei Yunshang Culture Media Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Nianlei Yunshang Culture"). According to information provided by Mr. Zhang, the notice mentioned that the company "hopes visually impaired individuals can cooperate with the team's filming plans" and stated a preference for recruiting women, though men would also be considered.

A reporter called the contact number listed in the recruitment notice issued by Nianlei Yunshang Culture. The person who answered stated that the company was no longer engaged in this line of business. When asked for the reason, the individual said, "This niche is very saturated now. Initially, you must invest in traffic promotion, and later you have to stage content. I have also resigned from there because I did not want to stage content."

A commentary was published stating that the severity of this matter lies not only in the creation of false scenarios to chase traffic, but more so in the reckless exploitation of societal goodwill and the commodification of disabled groups. Such actions not only hurt public sentiment but also blatantly trample moral boundaries and cross legal red lines.
