Cortina Holdings Limited reported a net profit of S$72.36 million for the 12 months ended 31 March 2026, a 3% year-on-year (YoY) increase, as stronger retail sales offset margin pressure and higher operating costs. Revenue climbed 13% YoY to S$978.97 million, underpinned by continued demand across its regional retail network.
Earnings per share edged up to 38.9 Singapore cents from 38.4 Singapore cents a year earlier. The board has proposed a final dividend of 2.0 Singapore cents and a special dividend of 14.0 Singapore cents per ordinary share, unchanged from FY25. Payouts are subject to shareholder approval at the 28 July 2026 annual general meeting, with the payment date to be announced.
Retail remained the key growth engine, contributing S$910.38 million to group revenue, up 12% YoY, and S$90.47 million in operating result before tax (ORBT). The wholesale arm posted S$123.09 million in revenue and S$10.19 million in ORBT. Geographically, Singapore led with S$419.74 million in sales, followed by other South-east Asian markets at S$424.15 million. Group gross margin moderated to 31.9% from 32.5% a year earlier.
Cost pressures intensified during the year. Total operating expenses rose 13.8% to S$213.74 million, reflecting higher rental charges, increased depreciation linked to recent store expansions and right-of-use assets, and a one-off S$2.59 million impairment on a Hong Kong property. Finance costs inched up 2% to S$6.56 million, while income tax expense expanded 28% to S$25.99 million.
Cortina ended the year with S$162.79 million in cash and cash equivalents, up from S$132.36 million a year earlier, after generating S$124.67 million in operating cash flow. Net asset value per share improved to 287.8 Singapore cents from 263.0 cents. Total loans and borrowings grew to S$78.25 million, mainly due to higher short-term facilities, though the group emphasised that its balance-sheet gearing remains manageable.
During the year the company invested S$29.6 million in property, plant and equipment and injected AUD3.0 million into its Australian subsidiary, Cortina Watch Pty Ltd, raising the unit’s paid-up capital to AUD4.0 million. Management said it remains “cautiously optimistic” about sustaining profitability in FY27 despite continued global economic uncertainty.
