The stock surge follows a disclosure from the Hong Kong Stock Exchange showing that The Capital Group Companies, Inc. increased its stake in the company by 2.757 million shares on July 30, at an average price of HKD 980 per share, totaling approximately HKD 2.702 billion. After the transaction, the fund holds 2.757 million shares, representing a 5.06% stake.
Guozheng International noted that the company has achieved mass production of silicon photonics technology and has developed and launched 400G, 800G, and 1.6T silicon photonics optical modules. By the first quarter of 2026, products utilizing silicon photonics technology are expected to account for about 70% of high-speed product series revenue. The upgrade of product structure toward high-speed and silicon photonics solutions has been a key driver of the company's gross margin improvement from 31.6% in 2023 to 41.5% in 2025.

Network specification upgrades for NVIDIA's GB200/GB300 and subsequent Rubin series chips will continue to drive demand for 1.6T and 3.2T optical modules. The bank believes that Zhongji Innolight, as an industry leader with a 21.2% global market share, is well-positioned to benefit from the industry's growth due to its R&D capabilities, supply chain stability, and customer loyalty.
