Septerna, Inc.'s stock soared 5.05% during intraday trading on Thursday, following the release of its first-quarter results that significantly exceeded analyst expectations.
The biopharmaceutical company reported revenues of US$27 million, beating analyst forecasts by 76%, with statutory losses of US$0.19 per share coming in much smaller than anticipated. Following the results, analysts have raised their revenue forecasts for 2026 from US$65.7 million to US$87.9 million, representing a substantial 22% improvement over the last 12 months.
While loss per share estimates for 2026 have also increased, the consensus price target remains at US$44.25, with analysts expecting the company to grow faster than the wider industry despite a forecast slowdown from its historical growth rate.
