Argan's stock surged 8.56% in post-market trading following the release of its fourth quarter and full-year fiscal 2026 financial results, which significantly exceeded analyst expectations across key metrics.
The power plant builder reported Q4 earnings per share of $3.47, beating the consensus estimate of $1.98 by 77.04% and representing a 56.31% increase from the same period last year. Quarterly revenue reached $262.05 million, surpassing estimates of $255.32 million and marking a 12.72% year-over-year increase.
For the full fiscal year 2026, Argan's net income jumped 61.2% to $138 million while revenue rose 8.1% to $945 million. The company's gross margin expanded to 20.5% from 16.1% a year earlier, driven by improved project execution and changing contract mix. Additionally, Argan's project backlog more than doubled to $2.9 billion, indicating strong future revenue visibility.
