Seres Group Co., Ltd. (SERES) released preliminary production and sales figures for May 2026, highlighting a short-term contraction but a solid year-to-date expansion in its new-energy vehicle (NEV) business.
May 2026 Performance • NEV production reached 34,233 units, down 15.47% year-on-year. • NEV sales totaled 33,476 units, a 16.27% decline from May 2025. • Total group production and sales—including internal-combustion models—fell 18.28% and 17.38% year-on-year to 36,583 and 36,480 units, respectively. • Within the NEV segment, Seres-branded models accounted for the bulk of activity, producing 30,923 units and selling 30,187 units, each shrinking by roughly 17%. Sales of other models dropped 27.96% to 3,004 units.
Year-to-Date (January–May 2026) • Cumulative NEV production rose 11.94% year-on-year to 146,652 units. • NEV sales advanced 15.14% to 145,108 units. • Seres-branded models showed stronger momentum, with production up 15.78% to 131,625 units and sales up 19.90% to 130,439 units. • Other models continued to weigh on the overall mix, recording double-digit declines in both production (-34.58%) and sales (-31.30%). • Group-wide totals stood at 160,459 units produced and 160,386 units sold, representing year-on-year gains of 5.49% and 8.18%, respectively.
Management indicated that all figures are preliminary and subject to audit in the company’s formal 2026 results.
