CATL Receives Upgrade to International Credit Rating

The international credit rating for CATL (HKEX: 03750) has been elevated.

Fitch Ratings has upgraded the issuer default rating for Contemporary Amperex Technology Co., Ltd. from 'A-' to 'A', with a stable outlook. The rating action was announced on the agency's website.

Fitch stated that the upgrade reflects a strengthening of CATL's business profile, supported by robust long-term industry growth prospects, its increasingly solid global market leadership, and a rising degree of end-market diversification. The agency also noted the upgrade reflects CATL's continued ability to maintain a strong financial profile, characterized by high profitability, robust free cash flow generation, and a substantial net cash position.

As of the announcement date, the company's credit ratings are as follows: Fitch's international issuer rating is 'A'; Moody's international issuer rating is 'A3'; S&P Global Ratings' international issuer rating is 'A-'; and China Lianhe Credit Rating's domestic issuer rating is 'AAA'.
