Prudential adjusts share capital after latest buybacks

Prudential plc reported that it cancelled 306,299 ordinary shares on Apr, 21 2026 following a share repurchase executed on Apr, 17 2026, reducing its issued share count to 2,523,718,498.

In a separate transaction on Apr, 21 2026, the company bought back an additional 282,858 shares on the London Stock Exchange at prices ranging from £11.145 to £11.27 per share, for a total consideration of approximately £3.17 million. These shares, together with 429,985 shares repurchased on Apr, 20 2026, are awaiting cancellation.

Under the current shareholder mandate approved on May, 14 2025, Prudential is authorised to repurchase up to 262,668,701 shares; to date, 83,440,116 shares, or about 3.20 % of the share base at the mandate date, have been repurchased.

The company is restricted from issuing new shares until May, 21 2026 as a result of the most recent buybacks.
