Federal Signal's stock soared 13.79% during intraday trading on Wednesday, following the release of its first-quarter 2026 financial results.

The significant price movement was driven by the company reporting quarterly results that substantially exceeded analyst expectations. Federal Signal posted adjusted earnings per share of $1.18 for the quarter, beating the consensus estimate of $0.89, while net sales climbed 35% to $625.6 million, surpassing the expected $579.3 million.

Furthermore, the company raised its full-year 2026 outlook, now projecting adjusted EPS in the range of $4.80 to $5.05 compared to the previous FactSet estimate of $4.70, and net sales between $2.57 billion and $2.66 billion versus the $2.61 billion estimate. The robust performance was attributed to higher production, increased aftermarket sales, and contributions from recent acquisitions.
