To promote the high-quality development of Yunnan's jade industry and establish a platform for domestic and international jade trade, the first Myanmar Jewelry Fair (China Ruili) is scheduled to take place from July 22nd to 25th in Ruili City, Dehong Prefecture, Yunnan Province. This event, a high-level trade gathering on the China-Myanmar border, involves precious and valuable exhibits, placing stringent demands on the safety, confidentiality, and timeliness of cross-border transportation.
Acting as the lead unit for the fair's transportation committee, the Dehong Prefecture Transportation Bureau meticulously planned and organized the logistics support. Leveraging government-enterprise coordination, the bureau brought together Yunnan Hangjie International Supply Chain Co., Ltd., Micang Supply Chain Co., and Ruili City Wanding Yuanda Storage and Logistics Co., Ltd. to form a collaborative effort. By optimizing cross-regional routes, addressing potential hazards on key road sections, refining transport procedures, and assigning dedicated personnel for round-the-clock coordination, the bureau solidified the foundation for a successful logistics operation.
Each logistics company played to its strengths, ensuring a highly efficient process. Yunnan Hangjie International Supply Chain Co., Ltd. handled international flight applications and scheduling, coordinating effectively with Myanmar counterparts to establish a smooth cross-border air freight channel. Micang Supply Chain Co. managed the intricate details of air-to-ground transfer, process optimization, and time control, guaranteeing seamless and efficient transit at air hubs. Ruili City Wanding Yuanda Storage and Logistics Co., Ltd. expertly coordinated road transport, implementing a closed-loop system with security escorts to ensure the safety of the overland journey.
This government-enterprise collaboration established a comprehensive "direct air freight + hub distribution + closed-loop road transport" cross-border logistics system. The entire process featured seamless connections, successfully completing the exhibit transport mission. The operation innovatively employed an "air-land link + closed-loop control" model, progressing through distinct, well-coordinated stages.
On July 13th, utilizing the overseas coordination strengths of the involved companies, four cargo flights successfully transported goods from Naypyidaw to Yangon, Myanmar. By July 15th, three subsequent flights from Yangon to Kunming were efficiently handled, completing the air transport segment for 28 pieces of jade raw materials and finished products, totaling 46,019 kilograms. On July 16th, Ruili City Wanding Yuanda Storage and Logistics Co., Ltd. executed three closed-loop road transport trips from Kunming to Ruili, deploying four dedicated vehicles to ensure all exhibits arrived at the fair venue safely and on schedule.
The entire supply chain operation achieved zero delays, zero damage, and zero safety incidents, providing strong support for the orderly setup and trading activities at the fair. This high-value cross-border transport effort effectively combined departmental coordination with corporate expertise, integrating multimodal air and land resources. It helped refine a robust mechanism for cross-border transport of high-value goods between China and Myanmar, establishing a standardized operational model that is procedural, secure, and efficient.
The mature experience gained from this endeavor provides a replicable "Dehong solution" for transporting valuable and specialty goods across borders. This success further enhances Dehong's reputation in cross-border logistics and continues to support the prefecture's development as an open border region and the growth of its cross-border industries.
