HSBC Announces Board-Level Realignments: Richard Meddings to Lead Group Audit Committee

HSBC Holdings plc (HSBC) will implement a series of Board committee changes effective 05 August 2026.

Key leadership moves • Richard Henry Meddings becomes Chair of the Group Audit Committee, succeeding Brendan Robert Nelson, who steps down from that role and relinquishes his seat on the Group Risk Committee following his appointment as Group Chairman. • Meddings is also appointed to the Group Technology and Operations Committee. • Geraldine Joyce Buckingham joins the Group Remuneration Committee.
