STAR CM issues profit warning: H1 2026 revenue seen down to RMB43–47 million, net loss to widen to up to RMB46 million

STAR CM Holdings Limited has released a profit warning indicating that, based on preliminary unaudited figures, revenue for the six months ended 30 June 2026 is expected to fall to between RMB43.00 million and RMB47.00 million, versus RMB59.00 million a year earlier. This implies a top-line contraction of roughly 18 % to 27 %.

Net loss attributable to owners is projected at RMB38.00 million–46.00 million, a deterioration from the RMB11.00 million loss recorded for the comparable 2025 period. The guidance suggests the interim loss could expand by approximately 3.5 to 4.2 times year on year.

Management attributes the deeper loss to: 1) a smaller pipeline of variety programmes, which reduced gross profit from programme production; and 2) a decline in the fair value of financial assets held at fair value through profit or loss, driven by volatility in share prices of investee companies.

The disclosed figures are based on internal management accounts that have not yet been reviewed by the audit committee or the independent auditor and may be subject to adjustment. STAR CM plans to publish its full interim results on 21 August 2026.

Shareholders and prospective investors are advised to exercise caution when dealing in the company’s shares.
