Shares of Fujian Supertech Advanced Material Co.,Ltd. (ASX: 688398) surged more than 6 percent during the late trading session.

At the time of writing, the stock was up 6.07 percent, trading at 29.17 Hong Kong dollars with a turnover of 84.09 million yuan.

The move follows a company disclosure in an investor relations activity record, which noted that its ultra-thin VIP product has completed certification under the IATF16949:2016 quality management system standard.

Furthermore, the product has passed certification by a new energy vehicle manufacturer and its battery supplier, leading to initial small-batch supply. Sales revenue from this product exceeded five million yuan in 2025.

The company stated it has made progress in enhancing the product's ultra-thin performance and production processes, while also increasing automation levels. It is actively engaging with more new energy vehicle and battery manufacturers to promote the application of its ultra-thin VIP product.

Analysts from Guosheng Securities previously highlighted that VIP board sales, a primary source of revenue and profit for the company, reached 958 million yuan in 2025, marking a 4.63 percent year-on-year increase. Annual sales volume for the product was 11.46 million square meters, up 14.98 percent from the prior year.

Future Growth Drivers

Looking ahead, the company's VIP board sales are expected to maintain robust growth. One key driver is the mandatory implementation of new energy efficiency standards for domestic refrigerators, which is anticipated to significantly boost the penetration rate of VIP boards in China. As a leading industry player, Fujian Supertech is well-positioned to benefit substantially from this trend.

Additionally, the company is actively developing new products, including shell-type four-side sealed VIP boards and VIP products with various core materials. These innovations aim to expand the application of its technology beyond home appliances into broader temperature-range scenarios such as energy-efficient buildings, industrial equipment, high-temperature equipment insulation, and LNG equipment thermal insulation.
