The Finance Department of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) is intensifying its collaboration with financial institutions to foster deeper integration between industry and finance, and to advance financial backing for new industrialization. This effort involves strengthening regular communication, enhancing information sharing and policy coordination, and implementing a series of joint initiatives under the "Three Meets" action plan, which includes "Industry Meets Financial Institutions," "Finance Meets Pilot Cities," and "Enterprises Meet Exchanges."

On June 3, 2026, the Finance Department conducted the second installment of the "Industry Meets Financial Institutions" program at the Beijing Branch of China Merchants Bank. This session concentrated on the development of the petrochemical, new materials, and high-tech industries. Officials from the MIIT's Raw Materials Industry Department and the High and New Technology Department were invited to provide in-depth interpretations for representatives from 23 strategic partner financial institutions.

Previously, on March 25, the Finance Department held a similar session at the Beijing Branch of Bank of Communications, focusing on two key areas: the steel industry and computing infrastructure. For that event, officials and experts from the Raw Materials Industry Department and the China Electronics Standardization Institute were invited to deliver explanatory briefings.

Financial institutions have widely acknowledged the significance of this initiative, noting that it plays a crucial role in helping them stay abreast of the latest industry developments and policies. They recognize its importance in deepening industry-finance connections, enabling precise support for new industrialization, and contributing to the high-quality development of the real economy.
