Chinese brokerage stocks showed broad gains before the midday break. As of press time, CSC (06066) rose 4.69% to HK$11.84; CICC (03908) increased 4.11% to HK$20.78; China Galaxy (06881) advanced 2.67% to HK$8.07; and CITIC Securities (06030) climbed 1.02% to HK$25.80.
