VF Corp, the parent company of brands including The North Face, Vans, and Timberland, reported a fourth-quarter loss per share of $0.30.
The company achieved its first full-year revenue growth in three years and forecasts continued revenue growth for fiscal 2027.
Driven by the sustained strong market performance of The North Face and Timberland brands, VF Corp's annual revenue has returned to a growth trajectory, with expectations for continued positive performance in the coming year. The apparel giant, which also owns the Vans brand, reported on Wednesday that revenue for the full fiscal year ended March reached $9.61 billion, up from $9.5 billion in the prior year. CEO Bracken Darrell stated this marks the company's first year-over-year revenue increase in three years. He said, "The North Face and Timberland are both growing globally, and the Vans brand is beginning to show signs of recovery. It was a strong year overall, and I am confident in the momentum we are building." The company's stock fell 3% in early trading. For the fourth quarter ended March 28, VF Corp reported a loss per share of $0.30, an improvement from a loss per share of $0.39 in the same period last year. Excluding special items such as restructuring charges and one-time gains and losses from the sale of the Dickies brand last year, the company broke even for the period. This outperformed the consensus analyst expectation for an adjusted loss per share of $0.01. Quarterly revenue was $2.17 billion, up from $2.14 billion a year ago and surpassing Wall Street estimates of $2.13 billion. The revenue growth was partly supported by continued improvement in the Americas, a key focus area of the company's recent turnaround plan. Revenue for The North Face brand increased by 12% year-over-year, while Timberland grew by 8%. The strong performance of these two brands offset a slight 1% decline in Vans brand revenue. Looking ahead, VF Corp expects revenue to continue growing in fiscal 2027. On a constant currency basis, overall revenue growth is projected to be in the range of 1% to 2%.
