Greatland Resources Ltd's stock surged 10.78% intraday on Wednesday, driven by the company's release of strong March quarter operational and financial results.
The company reported preliminary March quarter production of 82,723 ounces of gold and 4,128 tonnes of copper, along with sales of 97,800 ounces of gold and 4,620 tonnes of copper. The results showed a significant cash build, with the company's cash position increasing to approximately AU$1.21 billion as of March 31, up from AU$948 million at the end of 2025.
Adding to the positive sentiment, Greatland Resources expects its fiscal year 2026 gold production to be around or slightly above the upper end of its guidance range of 260,000 to 310,000 ounces. The company also noted that its Telfer operation in Western Australia is currently not impacted by diesel supply disruptions, providing operational stability assurance to investors.
