Helens International Holdings Company Limited (HLS) disclosed that the High People’s Court of Beijing Municipality ruled on Jun, 23 2026 to invalidate the group’s Chinese trademarks “Helens”, “Helens Bar” and “Helens Street Food Bar”.
The decision overturned earlier administrative judgments from Dec, 2025 that had favored Helens International in its dispute with third-party registrants. The court reinstated a May, 2025 order by the China National Intellectual Property Administration, which had declared the trademarks void for similarity with previously registered marks, citing Article 30 of the 2013 PRC Trademark Law.
Helens International said it is reviewing the judgment and considering further legal options, adding that the dispute does not materially affect its operations because it continues to use other undisputed trademarks, including “Helen’s”, first adopted in 2009.
The company stated it will implement contingency measures to minimize operational disruption and will update investors on significant developments. Shareholders and potential investors were advised to exercise caution when dealing in the company’s securities.
