On August 18, Xiaomi Corp. unveiled its second-quarter fiscal 2026 results, with quarterly revenue once again surpassing the 100 billion yuan mark. Total revenue reached 108.9 billion yuan, while adjusted net profit came in at 6.2 billion yuan. The automotive segment stood out with rapid growth, as revenue from smart electric vehicles and AI-related ventures climbed 17.1% year-on-year to 24.9 billion yuan. During the quarter, the company delivered 104,199 new vehicles.

During the subsequent earnings call, Xiaomi Group President Lu Weibing shared an upbeat outlook on the recently launched Pengcheng models. He noted that after pre-sales opened for the two new vehicles, initial deposit orders have exceeded earlier projections, signaling a strong market reception. Lu added that foot traffic at showrooms has been heavy since the cars arrived, and once preparation work is finalized, the company will move quickly to get customers behind the wheel.

Lu also laid out a clear timeline for the Pengcheng launch. He confirmed the two models will officially hit the market in September, reiterating a strategy of immediate delivery upon launch. With ample production capacity in place, Lu emphasized that delivery speed will be notably fast.

Beyond the auto business, Lu provided an update on Xiaomi's in-house chip development. The company’s first-generation Xuanjie O1 processor, launched last year, has now surpassed 1 million cumulative units shipped across three devices, marking successful large-scale validation of a flagship-tier chip. Lu also revealed that the next-generation Xiaomi Xuanjie chip is set to be unveiled soon.
