Jenscare Scientific Co., Ltd. (Jenscare) announced that its iJensRobo robot-assisted transcatheter tricuspid valve replacement (TTVR) system has completed its inaugural clinical study, marking a key milestone in the Group’s product pipeline.
The first-in-patient procedure was performed in Hong Kong, where surgeons used the iJensRobo platform to implant the LuX-Valve Plus prosthetic valve in a patient with severe tricuspid regurgitation. Post-operative echocardiography confirmed full resolution of regurgitation with zero paravalvular leakage, and the valve demonstrated firm anchoring and high stability.
iJensRobo is designed as an integrated, master-slave robotic platform that combines high-precision motion control, active safety constraints and intelligent navigation. By dampening hand tremors, standardising device manipulation and introducing real-time safety restrictions, the system aims to enhance procedural accuracy and reduce operator-dependent variability. The architecture also lowers radiation exposure for clinicians and supports remote operation capabilities, opening prospects for cross-regional collaboration and training.
Jenscare reiterated that commercialisation of the robot-assisted TTVR system remains subject to further development, regulatory approvals and market conditions, in line with disclosure requirements under Rule 18A.05 of the Hong Kong Listing Rules.
