The State Administration for Market Regulation released data on August 8, revealing that during the first half of this year, the structure of China's business entities underwent continuous optimization, driving the economy toward innovation, quality, and excellence.
In sectors representing eight major emerging industries, such as next-generation information technology and high-end equipment manufacturing, along with nine future-oriented industries including humanoid robots and generative artificial intelligence, a total of 561,000 new businesses were established, maintaining a stable growth trajectory. Specifically, 55,000 new businesses were registered in the generative AI field, marking a 28.0% year-on-year increase, while the humanoid robot sector saw 116,000 new enterprises, up 9.5% year-on-year, rapidly forming new economic growth points.
During the first half of the year, new consumer models demonstrated robust activity, with the service sector adding a total of 3.957 million new businesses. Among these, the cultural tourism industry registered 1.475 million new related enterprises. Additionally, high-tech manufacturing showed strong momentum. The spacecraft and launch vehicle manufacturing sector, along with the optical fiber and cable manufacturing sector, saw new business registrations surge by 185.7% and 129.4% year-on-year, respectively.
