Jul 23

An analysis report from DFZQ indicates that, overall, the domestic robotic vacuum market experienced a slight decline in the second quarter, influenced by a high comparative base from the previous year's 618 promotional period. Market share is becoming increasingly concentrated, with the two leading brands now collectively holding nearly 70% of the market, highlighting an oligopolistic competitive landscape. The global robotic vacuum market continues its growth trend, with domestic share further consolidating towards the top two players. While the overseas market is expanding, competition remains intense. The expansion of wet-and-dry vacuum cleaners overseas holds potential to create a new growth avenue. Relevant stocks include Ecovacs Robotics Co Ltd (SHSE: 603486) (Not Rated) and Roborock Technology Co Ltd (SHSE: 688169) (Not Rated). Key points from the DFZQ report are as follows:

Domestic Sales Slightly Down from High Base, Top Two Brands Gain Significant Share

According to AVC data, from weeks 15 to 26 (April 6 to June 28), the cumulative online and offline retail sales value for robotic vacuums was 4.662 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 1.78%. Cumulative retail volume reached 1.4276 million units, a year-on-year increase of 2.78%. The average unit price was 3,268 yuan, down 4.38% year-on-year. Regarding the competitive landscape, the combined market share of the top two brands has further increased. As the two dominant brands, Roborock Technology Co Ltd (SHSE: 688169) and Ecovacs Robotics Co Ltd (SHSE: 603486) achieved total sales values of 1.638 billion yuan and 1.543 billion yuan, respectively, representing year-on-year growth of 16.65% and 16.99%. Their market shares were 35.12% and 33.09%, up 5.57 and 5.34 percentage points year-on-year, respectively. Overall, Q2 domestic robotic vacuum sales retreated from the high base set by last year's 618 promotions. As shares held by brands like Narwal, Dreame, and other second- and third-tier players have receded, industry concentration has intensified. The two leading brands, Roborock Technology Co Ltd (SHSE: 688169) and Ecovacs Robotics Co Ltd (SHSE: 603486), now collectively command nearly 70% of the market, underscoring the oligopolistic structure.

Overseas Growth Continues During Prime Day, But Product Pricing Trends Downward

IDC data shows global shipments of robotic vacuum cleaners reached 6.563 million units in Q1 2026, a year-on-year increase of 29.4%. Reports from the 2026 Amazon Prime Day indicate that Roborock Technology Co Ltd (SHSE: 688169) saw its robotic vacuum sales in North America grow 30% year-on-year, achieving a 33% market share in the US and 31% in Canada. In the nine European Amazon markets, it held a 45% overall share (ranking first in Germany, the UK, Spain, the Netherlands, and Belgium), with European robotic vacuum sales up 24% year-on-year, placing it first. Dreame's North American robotic vacuum GMV across all channels exceeded 115 million yuan, a surge of 201% year-on-year, while its Southwest Europe robotic vacuum GMV grew 47% year-on-year. The overseas robotic vacuum market continues to expand, driven primarily by volume growth. This is fueled by expansion into new markets and channels, as well as further encroachment on the market share of local overseas brands. The product structure for Chinese robotic vacuum exports is also diversifying. With an increase in SKUs for more budget-friendly products, the average selling price may show a downward trend.

Accelerated Overseas Expansion for Wet-and-Dry Vacuums Could Form a Second Growth Curve

As of May 2026, according to Dreame's disclosures, its wet-and-dry vacuum cleaners have entered over 120 countries and regions, ranking among the top in nearly 20. Poland is a notable example, with a market share as high as 70%, and several other countries have shares exceeding 50%, making it a best-selling product locally. The wet-and-dry vacuum category for Roborock Technology Co Ltd (SHSE: 688169) is also in a growth phase. The 2026 Amazon Prime Day report shows its overall European sales for this category increased 112% year-on-year, with Spain and Germany seeing jumps of 235% and 139%, respectively. Its market share in the German Amazon wet-and-dry vacuum category reached 33%. Overall, the first half of the year saw a period of rapid growth for wet-and-dry vacuum exports. Major brands are continuously entering overseas markets, which is expected to establish a second growth curve in the international cleaning appliance sector.
