In a regulatory filing on August 6, HSBC Life Insurance Co., Ltd. disclosed a plan by its sole shareholder, HSBC Insurance (Asia) Limited, to inject an additional RMB 472 million into the company. If approved, the insurer's registered capital would increase from RMB 3.232 billion to RMB 3.704 billion, while the shareholder's 100% stake remains unchanged.

The board resolution for the capital increase was passed on July 31, 2026, according to the filing. The corresponding amendments to the company's articles of association will be updated upon regulatory approval. The transaction remains subject to final approval from the authorities.

Notably, this marks the second capital boost for HSBC Life in less than two months, following a previous RMB 556 million injection approved by regulators on June 16.
