During July, China Southern Airlines operated 3,630 inbound and outbound flights in Hunan, adding over 260 extra flights and carrying more than 560,000 passengers, the company's Hunan branch reported on August 4. The summer travel season, combining holiday trips, business travel, and parent-child educational tours, has driven high occupancy rates on many popular domestic routes.

On July 23, China Southern Airlines introduced a new Changsha-Lhasa round-trip route, improving air connectivity to Tibet from Hunan and enhancing passenger convenience. This route has achieved an occupancy rate exceeding 90%. Meanwhile, high-demand routes from Changsha to Shanghai, Qingdao, and Xi'an also boast occupancy rates above 90%. Key routes from Changsha to Beijing Daxing, Tianjin, Urumqi, Chongqing, Chengdu, Shenyang, Haikou, and Sanya maintain stable performance, with occupancy rates over 85%.

International travel demand is also surging, with cross-border trips gaining momentum. The Changsha-Seoul route sees the strongest demand, with an occupancy rate approaching 90%. Routes from Changsha to Hanoi and Nairobi are steadily growing, with occupancy rates exceeding 80%.

As the summer travel peak continues into August, China Southern Airlines maintains stable capacity in Hunan, planning an average of over 130 daily inbound and outbound flights to meet widespread travel needs. For passengers traveling at the end of August to avoid the peak, the airline offers discounted fares on several popular routes, including Changsha-Beijing Daxing from 420 yuan, Changsha-Urumqi from 940 yuan, Changsha-Xi'an from 440 yuan, and Changsha-Chengdu from 430 yuan, providing cost-effective travel options.
