JD Technology's supply chain financial technology platform has now been integrated with the Shanghai Commercial Paper Exchange's supply chain commercial paper platform, with the first transaction successfully completed.

This integration, achieved under the guidance of the People's Bank of China's Beijing Branch and the Shanghai Commercial Paper Exchange, involved the first supply chain commercial paper transaction based on JD's retail ecosystem. The business model facilitates the convergence of commercial, logistics, capital, and information flows through data sharing from operational scenarios. It connects corporate credit and authentic trade relationships with bill services, aiming to alleviate financing constraints for small and medium-sized enterprises and enhance capital efficiency across industrial chains.

Leveraging JD.com's end-to-end supply chain strengths, JD's supply chain finance technology breaks down the traditional barriers between transaction and capital information in bill businesses. It establishes a credit transmission mechanism grounded in real trade, effectively addressing the challenges of supplier credit assessment and verification. This creates a more transparent and efficient new paradigm for supply chain financial services for businesses across the value chain.

As the commercial paper market advances, there is a growing demand from enterprises for unified management of paper assets and online discounting services. Traditional models, however, present difficulties: commercial papers are often scattered across multiple bank accounts, making management cumbersome; discount inquiry channels are fragmented, limiting financing efficiency; and financial institutions rely on manual uploads for transaction background information, which can compromise authenticity and convenience.

Following the integration with the Shanghai Commercial Paper Exchange, JD's supply chain finance platform serves as a technical service provider. It connects to the exchange's platform to transmit transaction data and commercial paper information on one end, and links to financial institutions' quotation channels on the other. This enables the platform to offer comprehensive lifecycle services for commercial papers, including issuance, circulation, financing, and settlement, for core enterprises, suppliers, and financial institutions.

The Shanghai Commercial Paper Exchange is a national-level financial infrastructure, and its supply chain commercial paper platform is a crucial service component within this framework. Currently, institutions directly connected to this platform primarily include central state-owned enterprise financial service units, banking institutions, and leading industrial companies.

JD.com was among the first in China to introduce a supply chain financial technology platform. Building on over a decade of experience in supply chain finance, it has now successfully integrated with the exchange's platform. Moving forward, JD Technology will use this integration as a foundation to continuously enhance its supply chain commercial paper product offerings and platform functionalities.

The company plans to apply supply chain commercial papers across various scenarios within the JD ecosystem, including retail, logistics, and industrial supplies. The goal is to foster information sharing and business collaboration among core enterprises, suppliers, financial institutions, and other ecosystem participants. This initiative aims to provide more diversified and comprehensive financial services to businesses along the industrial chain, using financial resources to support the high-quality development of the real economy and promote a positive cycle between technology, industry, and finance.
