Bank of Qingdao Co., Ltd. (BQD) released its audited results for the year ended 31 December 2025. Net profit rose 21.61% year-on-year to RMB5.36 billion, with profit attributable to shareholders up 21.66% to RMB5.19 billion.
Operating income increased 8.54% to RMB14.56 billion, driven by a 12.11% rise in net interest income to RMB11.07 billion. Net fee and commission income slipped 3.84% to RMB1.45 billion.
Total assets expanded 18.12% to RMB814.96 billion. Loans and advances grew 16.53% to RMB397.01 billion, while customer deposits climbed 16.41% to RMB502.90 billion.
Asset quality improved: the non-performing loan ratio dropped 0.17 percentage point to 0.97%, and the provision coverage ratio climbed to 292.30% from 241.32%. Expected credit losses were broadly flat at RMB3.53 billion.
Key profitability indicators strengthened. Return on average assets edged up to 0.71% (2024: 0.68%), and weighted average ROE rose to 12.68% (2024: 11.51%). Net interest margin narrowed to 1.66% from 1.73%.
Capital adequacy stayed above regulatory minima: the overall CAR stood at 13.37%, tier-1 at 10.48% and core tier-1 at 8.67%. Liquidity metrics improved, with the liquidity coverage ratio rising to 213.25% (2024: 203.02%) and the net stable funding ratio at 119.89%.
The board proposes a cash dividend of RMB0.18 per share (tax inclusive), up 12.50% year-on-year, subject to shareholder approval.
During the year the bank issued RMB2.00 billion of perpetual bonds, lifted total assets past RMB800 billion and opened a branch in Liaocheng, achieving network coverage across all 16 Shandong cities.
