Jul 20

On July 20, Honeywell rose 3.1% in pre-market trading, trading at $228.73/share, with turnover of $211,500. The rally was driven by the announcement that India's largest carrier IndiGo selected Honeywell to supply avionics and auxiliary power systems for its 810 new Airbus A320neo family aircraft.

The deal covers auxiliary power units, weather radar systems, traffic collision avoidance systems, flight management systems, and aftermarket support, marking the largest buyer-furnished equipment contract in Honeywell Aerospace history. IndiGo currently operates over 400 aircraft and transported more than 123 million passengers in its latest fiscal year, with over 2,100 daily flights. The partnership dates back to 2015.

Additionally, Aeromexico announced it will deploy Honeywell's SURF-A runway safety technology across more than 100 Boeing 737 NG and 737 MAX aircraft, becoming the global launch customer for the accident-prevention system. FAA certification for SURF-A on select Boeing aircraft is expected in Q4. Honeywell's runway safety products currently equip over 6,000 commercial aircraft globally.
