An event titled "Optimizing the Business Environment and Serving Corporate Innovation Development—Exploring the Intellectual Property Service Cluster" was recently held by the Taiyuan Municipal Market Supervision Administration (Intellectual Property Office) at the Intellectual Property Building in the Qingkong Innovation Base (Taiyuan).

This initiative aimed to provide targeted support to innovative enterprises in Taiyuan, helping them overcome development challenges through a combination of specialized training and immersive on-site observations.

The event sought to strengthen the foundation for building Taiyuan into a national model city for intellectual property and to enhance the reputation of the local high-quality business environment.

Co-organized by the Taiyuan Municipal Market Supervision Administration (Intellectual Property Office) and the Municipal Science and Technology Bureau, the event was undertaken by several municipal-level intellectual property and technology transfer service agencies.

Focusing on core pain points in corporate innovation, such as intellectual property cultivation and R&D compliance, the event established a professional service platform for government-enterprise dialogue, supply-demand linkage, and resource sharing.

This effort was designed to increase the influence and reach of the intellectual property service cluster, ensuring that high-quality public services accurately reach innovative entities.

Representatives from over 40 innovative enterprises in Taiyuan participated in the activities.

The precise and practical training sessions delivered actionable insights for corporate innovation.

Industry experts provided specialized instruction based on the latest industrial trends and corporate innovation needs, featuring strong relevance and detailed case studies.

Meng Bin, General Manager of Taiyuan Da Yinqing Patent Agency, delivered an in-depth explanation on cultivating high-value patents, systematically outlining the logic and practical methods for full-chain patent development.

From project initiation and patent portfolio planning to documentation drafting and value assessment, the session comprehensively deconstructed the pathway for high-value patent creation.

This guidance assists enterprises in overcoming barriers to commercializing innovation, transforming laboratory achievements into tangible market competitiveness.

The head of the Enterprise Service Department at the Taiyuan Technology Transfer Promotion Center focused on the standardized management of corporate R&D projects.

Using practical cases, the presentation addressed common issues throughout the entire process, including project initiation, cost allocation, process control, and final evaluation, while detailing key compliance operational points.

This helps companies strengthen their financial and tax compliance defenses, accurately implement supportive policies like the super-deduction for R&D expenses, and ensure they fully benefit from available policy incentives, thereby effectively reducing innovation-related operational risks.

Following the training, participating enterprise representatives visited the one-stop integrated service hall at the Taiyuan Intellectual Property Building.

Through on-site interactive exchanges, representatives gained a comprehensive understanding of the cluster's full-chain, integrated service functions.

These services include patent pre-examination, trademark registration, copyright filing, rights protection assistance, pledge financing, and patent navigation.

Attendees experienced the convenience of the "one-stop-shop" service system firsthand, developing a clear and three-dimensional understanding of the local intellectual property service ecosystem, platform functions, and regular operational models.

The entire event was closely aligned with the practical needs of enterprises, featuring highly pragmatic and actionable content that received unanimous praise from participants.

Attendees widely acknowledged that the event effectively addressed weaknesses in their intellectual property strategy and R&D compliance management.

They gained practical methods directly applicable to production and operations, finding the guidance highly significant for improving quality, increasing efficiency, and driving innovation-led upgrades.

It was reported that this event will be continued on a regular and branded basis.
