Wall Street investment firm Jefferies Financial Group Inc. has updated its "Franchise Picks" stock list in a research report issued on Monday. The firm's equity team added Amazon.com, AppLovin Corporation, Credo Technology, McDonald's, RadNet, Thermo Fisher Scientific, and UL Solutions to the list. Recent additions also include American Healthcare REIT and Ovintiv. Concurrently, the firm removed AIG, Broadcom, Capital One, Expand Energy, GFL Environmental, Nike, and Snowflake from the list. The new additions primarily focus on leaders in AI computing infrastructure build-out, digital advertising, healthcare demand, and core consumer value segments. Jefferies noted that Amazon.com's AWS business is in the early stages of re-acceleration, driven by the gradual ramp-up of computing capacity and AI partnerships enhancing long-term revenue visibility. AppLovin Corporation is viewed as a leading platform in mobile gaming advertising, with its direct e-commerce business also expanding. Credo Technology's inclusion is based on expectations that the penetration of Active Electrical Cables (AEC) remains in its early stages, potentially supporting sustained growth through 2028 and beyond. For McDonald's, Jefferies anticipates that its revitalized "McValue" platform will support same-store sales growth and market share gains, even amid relatively muted near-term expectations. RadNet benefits from growing demand for PET, MRI, and CT scans, with Jefferies expressing optimism about the outpatient imaging sector's prospects. Thermo Fisher Scientific is expected to reach an earnings inflection point in the second half of 2026, supported by an anticipated improvement in biopharmaceutical industry growth. As a global leader in the testing, inspection, and certification (TIC) industry, UL Solutions was added due to its pricing power, macroeconomic resilience, and potential AI-related testing demand. Jefferies suggested the company's fiscal 2026 guidance may be conservative. Jefferies stated that its "Franchise Picks" list comprises its highest-conviction "Buy"-rated U.S. research ideas, supported by differentiated analysis, catalyst drivers, and valuation upside potential.
